Katherine Whitman, Youth Good Samaritan Hero:

Katherine Whitman, a six year old from Toutle in Cowlitz County WA, took swift action when the van she and her 17 month old brother were in began to roll back towards the Toutle River after their mother had gone into the house. Read the whole story.

Officer Charlie Worley, Fire Rescue Hero


Officer Charlie Worley, a Castle Rock police officer and Cowlitz County WA resident, was off duty when he heard on the police scanner about a nearby house fire where an elderly lady was sound asleep. Read the whole story.

Fireman Tom Shmaltz, Professional Rescuer Hero


Fireman Tom Schmaltz, on vacation from Clark County District 6, was riding a passenger train when it struck a car south of Tacoma. Read the whole story.

Eric Dodge, Educational Rescue Hero


Eric Dodge, a coach and teacher at Covington Middle School in Clark County WA, he saved a middle school youth from chocking to death during lunch period. Read the whole story.

 

James Dean, Adult Good Samaritan Hero

James Dean, of James Dean Construction in Skamania County WA, was on his way to a job site when a vehicle driving in the opposite direction crossed the center line and crashed into the vehicle directly ahead of him. Read the whole story.
